WET AND WILD - 2 December 2012

Despite being very wet and windy today, I did manage to:
  • tie up the tomatoes and pick out more laterals
  • weed around the capsicum and eggplants in the polytunnel
  • harvest half a kilogram of snow peas(biggest harvest this season and equates to $25 worth as it is $5 for 100g at my local supermarket)
  • harvest two squash and two courgettes for dinner
  •  harvest a broccoli for dinner
  • de-head flowers in the cottage garden
  • weed the woodland garden
  • harvest some rhubarb
  • weed the berry garden
But I’m giving up now as I am really tired from the wind, so I think I deserve to put my feet up and have a cuppa!  The garden is very grateful for the rain however, as it’s the first decent rain we’ve had in almost two weeks.  Will certainly save me from getting out there tonight with the hose!  The garden certainly is brimming with lots of produce at the moment with many different vegetables ready to be harvested.
