I was visting my mother today and was having a little nosey around her garden and a little inspection of her tomatoes…..and was completely amazed by what I found. Trusses and trusses of tomatoes! So I quizzed her on what she has been doing and she puts it all down to regular feeds of Yates Thrive. (I still only have flowers on my plants…not even one little baby tomato has appeared).
Mum grows her tomatoes inside her conservatory and just grows them in 10 litre buckets with holes in the bottom. She also believes that you should remove lots of the lower branches. We planted our tomatoes at about the same time…but hers are leaps and bounds ahead of mine! I was in complete and utter awe! When you compare Mum’s tomatoes to mine…well…the pictures really speak for themselves!
So I’ve raced out and bought myself some Yates Thrive and I’m going to give my tomatoes a good feed of that tomorrow! Here’s hoping that helps my tomatoes take a step in the right direction….
