I bought some Yates Nature’s Way Seaweed Booster a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been using it when I plant out my seedlings as it stimulates root growth and I tell you what…it is really great stuff! I think this might have to be the best gardening product I’ve ever bought! I found out about it on an Australian show called ‘The Garden Party’ and the English landscaper on the show swears by the stuff. He uses it when he plants out EVERYTHING!
I’ve just been adding it to the watering can when I water the plants in and it is amazing how healthy they look after such a short time! I have been gardening organically until this year when I started using Yates Blitzem for the slugs which has made a huge difference (prior to that I just used beer but it wasn’t sufficient to combat them – now I use a combination of beer and Blitzem). So I was really pleased to find that the seaweed booster is organic. I am going to try alternating this with my worm tea and comfrey feed and see how the plants go. I feed most veges once a month, but hungry plants like the tomatoes and lettuces are fed every fortnight.
It’s a pretty windy day here today and we’re meant to get winds up to 130 kph, so I don’t think I’ll get much done this afternoon other than feeding my plants….
