Here is my garden all ready to go – seedlings planted and just waiting on all the veges now. What a great opportunity Yates have given us to be part of this challenge!
I’m just waiting on my tomato seedlings to get a bit bigger and then they’ll go down in the back raised bed. These raised beds are full of plants I’ve raised from only Yates seeds (except the potatoes and garlic):
Front raised beds (left to right):
- Broccoli, Snow Peas, Cabbage, Silverbeet, Leeks, Garlic, Spring Onions
- Carrots, Beetroot, Parsnip, Radishes, Swede, Broad beans, Peas & Snow Peas
- Lettuce, Spinach & Rocket
At the very back:
- Potatoes
Our sweetcorn, pumpkins, squash, courgettes, capsicum, chillis and eggplants will go down by our polytunnel when they’re a bit bigger too.
My husband and I put a lot of effort into this garden and built all the raised beds ourselves and did all the paving using only recycled materials. We are going to cut down the big elm tree next winter and put a small deck there and a mini glasshouse for all our seedlings. I’ve planted calendulas and lavender all around the garden to help attract the bees and they just love it!
